  • Railroad Line is Back !

Well, its been a minute but we are back online !

    Couple issues

    Main Issues

activation emails working but most likely going to spam...
search feature and new topics feature not working....

Also, any url links like the ones in the Mike Chambers Craftsmen Corner / the 2021 Choices Challenge Main Thread WILL NOT WORK they would have to be manually corrected

    thanks for hanging on !

    Joe

Well, I was able to reset my password (once I remembered which email address I used to register.) But when I click on Forums -> New Topics, I get a 403 protection error. But it's good to be back!

Resetting my password was a challenge, for some reason. It worked better on my cell phone. But I did it, and here I am.

There are still some bugs being worked on.
Right now the New Topic feature doesn't work.
                Same with Search

I think that it would be useful for the "moderators only" board be set back up so that we can discuss changes with Joe.

It would a lot easier if I could get into RRL using Firefox - I have to bounce back & forth between it and Chrome for now - cumbersome, but I guess workable.

Wish that 403 error signing in through Firefox could be resolved.

Check out the Firefox fix thread, although the 403 error will happen with any browser that stores cookies. (all)

For general information the site is not playing nice with Microsoft Edge. I'm getting a lot of people emailing me saying that they are getting this error. Me included. 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I can access from my iphone or chrome. Still good to be back.

I get error 403 on chrome but not on Bing. I don't know why.

I Fixed it on my end by clearing the cookies.

Having to stop and clear cookies every couple of clicks is getting -really old-. And the behavior is inconsistent. Whatever the problem is, I sure hope it gets fixed, because frankly I can't use this in its current state. (my tolerance for IT problems decreases exponentially as I get older...)
