Hey, are you guys putting little 'fortune cookie' slips of paper inside the box for each of the layouts & operator signature? Or something along that line? This has been really fun to watch.

In the lull before the expected storm, I spotted this New Haven boxcar spotted by the transfer shed in the Jersey Highlands' yard. It arrived with a load of typewriter ribbons for the metropolitan areas. Once emptied, it will be relocated quickly to the backshop for a quick repair to the two steps on the far side of the car. (Bill, I think a little styrene cement will take care of the bent steps. Hopefully they will not detach when I try to straighten them.)

Simon,
Tell Crispy to look for Allen's tank car on Monday. I got it in the mail yesterday.

Bill, . .Monday the 8th should give ample time for USPS Priority shipment. Please go ahead and run it on Saturday; I'm sure we will all want to see the pictures. Thanks!

Bill, . .We will be flying out of Portland to San Diego on the morning of the 14th, and I would like to take the car with us. Could you send it to us on the 8th USPS Priority? That would be greatly appreciated.

I finished a second photo session with Crispy's boxcar. Photos will be posted in a few days. I am hoping to get the car off to the Jersey Highlands by the weekend if all goes according to plan.

Hi Tom,
I just noticed the photos up this month. Great shots, Crispy enjoyed them.
Bill, the September car left here today and should be with you by the end of the week.

Tom,
Nice paint schemes! Well done, indeed! And the hillside looks good, too. For a minute, there, I had to look to make sure you were feeding us models and not prototypes!

I like the paint scheme on those engines Tom. It look right on the B23-7s. I think the engine choice would have been correct to. LNE would have gone with GE like the New Haven started to and probably continued with them through the AC series engine. A GE AC4400 in NH paint,Hmmmmmm.......
That Saybrook Northern box car is looking right at home to. I can't wait to see it in person myself.
Good job this month on photos and story lines everyone.

Tomid="blue">, . .Kudos on your fantasy locos. They really complement Crispy'sid="blue"> boxcar. Similar to the U23B's are the B23-7's which are a favorite of me and my crew, especially one bearing the line, HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARKid="maroon">
