GOOOOOOOD MORNING all! Sounds like Karl's part of the state got a little more snow than we got. We got a light dusting, but that was about it. No accumulation to speak of.

Thanks for opening up, Karl. Very thoughtful of you to offer cigars. Not sure who is scratching up the counter - might be the grits, not matches. Postum? Do they still make that stuff?

Not sure what to do today - I have a totally free day - the wife and kids are out of town till next week, no plans for today, just going to play it by ear.

Have a great day all, and keep 'em on the tracks!

Good morning Karl, Mike, and the rest of the crew. It looks like spring is trying to assert itself a bit here in northern New Jersey. Temps will be in the upper 40's for the next few days, but should hit the 50's by later next week. That is when I will start the outside work.

I got more done on the layout yesterday, and I hope to put in a few more hours later today. I don't want to get anything else started on the bench, since I am now making some good progress on an area that has been bugging me for about two years.

Time to get some work done so that I can get back to the layout later without any guilty thoughts.

      Have a great day.

Good morning crew. Thanks for opening Karl. I needed some of that coffee. No s*** down here, but it's chilly and the weather guy keeps talking about rain, which never comes. Did you NASCAR fans see the weather in Bristol?[!]

Not much being done on the MRRing front. I'm playing with weathering techniques on some scraps of wood and styrene. I'm using ideas I've read about here on the RR-Line. Maybe I'll get started on a real project in a day or two.

I'm off on some errands this morning. Have a good day.

          G'Mornin' Karl & Crew!

Wow...Snow again! We're s'pozed ta get mixed precip tomorrow and just plain ol' rain showeres here along the Waterbury Line of the NYNH&HRR. Be careful out there traveling, now! I'm on light duty today, so I just have errands and lundry to attend to. In the meantime, I'm working on another challenge car in my Erie Series...a covered hopper that I picked up on eBay. Although marketed by Central Hobby Supply of Syracuse, NY, I highly suspect it's a Funaro & Camerlengo kit. [:-magnify] Ah, yes...I've already had to undo work to re-fit parts and threw out the instructions. [!] I went for my MRI yesterday and that was the closest that I've ever been to being fitted for a coffin! [:-bigmouth][:-scared] And the noises were like something out of a '50s sci-fi movie! I hope the Dr. gets the results and announces the bad news: laundry is out...and so is mowing the lawn...vacuuming can be done, but only rarely and in small areas...taking out the garbage should be as limited as possible and take large doses of chocolate frozen yogurt on a regular and daily basis. Ya think?
Is this kid dreamin' here or what!!!!        id="Comic Sans MS">id="size3">id="red">

Oh, well...time for another cuppa and off to run some errands. Hey, I'll take one of these cigars with me, too. Thanks, Karl!

...I was wonderin' where those scratches on the counter were coming from. If ya gotta use scratch matches do it on the underside of the counter or the seat of your pants. .

The weather here in the Piedmont of NC is on the cool side but the sky couldn't be any clearer. Maybe up to the mid-50's today BUT up to the 70's by next weekend. We'll see. We'll probably have the worst s***storm in recorded history.

Got my new NG&SLG yesterday and those photos from Karl are too much. Beautiful is all I can say. There is also a project in there that I'm interested in. (here we go again, another diversion) Those company houses look like something I might be interested in. (This layout will never get finished if I keep on like this but, what the hell, I enjoy it)

Well, I'm going to see if I can squeeze out some bench time while the weather is warming up. Then, it's outside and start servicing those lawn machines etc.

            Have a good one y'all.

              Mornin' Crew :

Only a skiff of the white stuff in these parts ...gone already with the morning sun . We had far less than Bristol Tenn as I was trying to watch Cup qualifying but it was snowed out .

Bags , UConn dodged another bullet again as I'm sure you saw .They sure perform when it counts like with one second to go ...swish !

I'm working today as it has been busy lately and I could use the business .

              Have a good one , guys .

Oh - he he he - I didn't think anyone else here smoked a fine cigar, so I - ahem - sort of took them all. Here, Russ, take a couple. My bad.

Now see what you started, Karl? Everyone is going to think that I scratched the counter - but HA! I use a cigar lighter, not matches! I'm telling you, it is spilled grits!

Good morning, guys. NO snow here in the Ozarks, but plenty of sunshine and a very cool breeze blowing in off the lake. My flags are are standing straight out from the pole at the moment as proof of how breezy it is out there. Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway. I've got painting on my agenda today. I'm about to get the living room finished (finally!!) and start up the stairway toward the upstairs hallway and bedrooms. Oh how I love it! :yuck:

JR, your comments about the new Gazette and Karl's photos reminded me that mine hasn't come yet. Maybe it will be in today's mail.

Well, I'd better get started taping woodwork and ceilings. That takes more time than the actual painting. Have a good day, everyone.

No snow here, but were sending mucho moisture to the Mid-West and East. Once it crosses the Rockies, WATCH OUT! [:O] You fellows can expect some more of that white stuff.

Yesterday, I unthawed some steaks for dinner, but then, on the way home from running errands, I stumbled across some Alaskan King-Crab legs (at $11+ a pound). We had a very sumptuous dinner last night, . .Alaskan crab, Tillamook Cheddar and Great Harvest Bread (with real butter), and a tossed salad. So we're a havin' steak and eggs for breadfast. [:P]

I've been workin' on an outside braced wooden caboose. Installed the EOT above the coup last night and drilled some holes for a grain-of-wheat. Next thing is to locate some acetate for windows. Next week, I've got to get back into the MR mode with regard to my layout.

That's about it from our wet RIMid="blue">. [:-snorkel] Hope everyone is havin' a blast this weekend.
