  • My New 2005 Mustang GT!!!

    Well boys,

Since it is the holiday seaon and after a long hard year of work I decided to treat myself to a real "toy" [^]. After much consideration and on the advise of a well know RRL Forum Moderator - who will go un-named, but who also happens to have a Mustang, I decided to dip into the wallet and pull one out [:-bouncy].

My local Ford dealer really gave me a deal , you should see the financing I got on this baby. Paid full MSRP and got all the fancy add-ons available - you name it, I got it: donut warmer, 7-11 Jumbo coffee cup holder, roof rack layout holder, orange tinted windows, red luxury interior, I mean I got it all... . Had to go with the grey paint and GT stripes - I mean check it out boys, this one is a keeper [:-dopey].

Everything is great with this baby, but a few things trouble me ... maybe the un-named Mustang expert could help me with...

    1) The interior seems a little plasticy. It is a little stiff to the touch and I think it will be hard to sit in for any long period of time...

    2) I cannot seem to fit my key into the ignition. It is like it was not made for this car ...

    3) I would cruise on down to Timmy's and pick everyone up a double-double and some Timbits if I could only get the door open - must be one of those "jump in" Dukes of Hazzard type cars ...

Anyway, thought I would post a picture of the great beast. Not sure why I did not show up in the picture - must be one of those "skinny angle lenses" . Here it is boys...

Here's a three dimensional one that I own .That's the good news ...the bad news , it's 1/18 scale , so unless I go on one heck of a diet , I can't sit in it .

I can't get the real deal until I sell my Escape company car ...coupla months I hope ( I pray )

It's Tundra ( light green ) Karl , but we can't export 'em to the U.S. until they are 6 months old and have 15000 km's on them ( about 10,000 miles ). Being in a border town we get a lot of requests for that sort of thing but haven't been able to sell New over there for about 20 years . The U.S. Dealers put the lid on that one .

          Just hot air anyhoo....

Son is at a dealership in K'zoo and when I get ready will probably go that way. The alphabet plans can work out pretty sweet. Probably next spring.

I picked this one up at the "Superstore" grocery store. Gotta love hotwheels...mind you I also picked up a 1969 suped-up camero too, I mean for .88 cents - I just could not resist. Funny thing, went in to get some Legos for my kids and came with two hotwheels cars - nothing else. Of course I got the "TT" at the cash, you know the "Terry Treatment"....

            "Hi"

            "Hi, how are you today"

            "Good thanks"

            "Is that it? Two cars?"

            "Yes (look at my feet)"

"These for your son? That is $2.00" (on my own, no one with me, I have no son)

"Uh, no they are for my daughters" (try and see if I have a lousy toonie in my pocket along with other change, keys and clipped on cell phone. Now holding up the express line. People holding lots of stuff looking at me. Blue/Grey haired lady rolling here eyes as I start to add up $2.00 worth of change - no toonie in the pocket).

"Oh" (cashier just looks around and watches me fumble with the change. Drop some of the change down that slot that is in between the scale thing and the counter).

"Don't worry about it - I have enough".

"Thanks and have a Merry Christmas (she says while smirking).

I beat it, taking my two cool Hotwheels cars with me!

All that to get a couple cool looking Hotwheels.

            Too funny.
