    DCC and Sound in the Bachmann Mogul

    I have a web page that tells how I put DCC and a Sound module in the Bachmann Mogul. It shows an easy way to take the boiler off and retains the original headlight contacts

    Very timely. I just picked up another 2-6-0 to tinker with and have one of the nice SoundTrax sound only decoders handy! I'm thinking of trying out the DSP&P backdate that is being published in Light Iron Digest, too. I was puzzled by the wiper install situation on the tender trucks and this how-to seems to have a more sensible method. I'll add that for additional pickup on my non-sound equipped loco as well. Thanks!

      The link for the idea of the wipers got screwed up by the web engine it should be:

      This idea was amazingly simple and the trucks make wipers easy, and was from Paul Martin at EDM trains. I like to give credit to people from whence my ideas spring.
