Hello everyone,
I just happened across this site tonight while surfing. I've been through all of the On30 posts and thought I'd introduce myself. I've been RRing for 25 years and On30ing for 4. Just recently I got enough space, time and money to build a large (for me anyway) layout. It's 2ft x 8 ft and is my first attempt at O scale as well as handlaying track. I guess for it's size it qualifies for the challenge! The layout is set in the pacific northwest and is based on (or blatently copied from!) Lennart Elgs' portable logging layout. Track planning is not my strong suit!

Motive power currently consists of a Bmann shay, and 2 0-4-2 porters. I have 2 of the Bmann 0-6-0 saddle tanks awaiting the conversion kits to 2-6-0's with tenders from Backwoods that I'll be getting for my birthday. All will be DCC equipped with sound in the shay and possibly in the 2-6-0's as well.
So far the benchwork has been built and the track is down. I'm awaiting some connectors to finish the wiring, and then it's time for the first train to move under it's own power. I can't wait.
Cheers
Steve
