    On30 Logging Disconnects

    This past weekend, I received my first order of On30 logging disconnects from Rusty Stumps Scale Models. Rusty has done an excellent job in designing and producing them. It is the first On30 rolling stock kit that I didn’t have to order something extra (couplers, trucks, or wheel sets). In each box, everything is there for two complete disconnects. The white metal shows exceptional detail and wood grain. There is little flash to remove and the metal is free of any imperfections. The instructions are clearly written, have lots of pictures, and are easy to follow. I am looking forward to starting this kit as part of the On30 diorama project.

    Thanks for the photo & review. I have often wondered about this kit. I have bought other items Rusty Stumps Scale Models before & have always been happy with his products. Keep us posted as you build these kits. I would love to see some progress photos if you can post some.

        I'm doing an assembly line production. I've finished the filing for fit and currently I'm letting the paint cure. I hope to start assemble this weekend or the first of next week.
