  • 7-1(slash)2" Radius

I have an area in which to construct a layout that limits the width to 18" on either end.id="orange"> I have acquired some Rapido 7-1/2" radius track but am wondering what type of steam locomotives

will be able to operate on this tight curve. Does anyone know if a Bachmann 2-8-0 will operate on such a curve? If not, what steam locmotives on the market will.

    Thanks,

I honestly don't know if a connie will go around such a short radius. An 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 might. You also might get a 4 axle diesel around it.

Nothing will operate very will on that including most rolling stock that is over a scale 50 ft. in length. I know of know steam loco that runs well enough to be worth having that will operate well on anything under 9 and a half inch (but will look stupid on a curve that tight). I am assuming we are talking n-scale here.
