    Charles Biel Photo Archives


    I have been frequenting a collection of BN/BNSF photo sites that also have rosters listed for the roads. The sites were all by Charles Biel, and are quite well-known.

    Does anyone have any idea of where they went? I tried to access them recently, and I get the usual 404 error.

    If you have any information please either post it here or feel free to email me directly from here. I have never found such complete rosters on a photosite till I found these.

    I hadn't checked on that site recently, but I find that I can no longer access the hummer either. RATS. Some good is on that site.

      Don,

      I tracked down the information for the administrator of the server that trainpix.com was on. I found the domains and IP addresses and followed them up via Internic and Network Solutions. I finally was able to email them directly, but haven't heard from them yet.

      Too bad I cannot find Charles' email instead. Perhaps he could shed some light on the missing sites. All of them are gone-BN, BNSF, ATSF, MOPAC...

      I will post any changes I get back from the admin.

        Update...

        Nothing from the admins of the domain, but I managed to come across mirrors of the archive sites. These were last updated in August, which must have been when the major groups went down.
