Hi Jim,
The photo above in not an E7A...similiar but no cigar. This is an E6. The E6's that the L&N bought were the last version that EMD made and the headlight had the E7 style.
Even Life-Like got the headlight detail wrong on it's HO models, as did the expensive hand made brass Challenger Imports.

The nose on the E7A looks modified. Shouldn't there be a door on the nose? Instead it is blank with a crease there... interesting.
