Sadly I cant see it[V]. Maybye you could send me alot of detail shots of D&RGW 8001?
Hi, and welcome to RR-L.
The reason you can't see the photo is that it was "remote linked" to this forum by the poster, and the link is now broken/dead. Also, most of the participants in this thread are no longer active members here, so it's unlikely they will see your request for the detail shots of 8001. The discussion in this thread took place about 27 months ago. Sorry.

hehe....that Rio Grande SD90MAC is the one he built for me. I also bought a D&H SD90MAC from him, although i dont know why. [:O]
Lance makes some excellent locomotives. the detail rivals brass and the paint jobs are excellent. He hasnt been doing many locos lately, mostly just structures that he sells on eBay.

I plan to get 3 AC4400CW's,with radial trucks, for Heavy drag and Woodchip service,4 SD75I's for midtrain "Drones" and helpers for coal trains,3 SD90-43MAC's in SP speed lettering for pool coal trains with the D&RGW(my D&RGW is seperate from the ESPEE but is owned by SP transportation co[}]),3 D&RGW SD90MAC-H's(actually they are SD90MAC-H carbodies with SD75M style engines, like the SP units! ),and 1, posibly 2 SP AC6000CW's from broadway limited... but maybye ill have to make the SD75I's dummies(ie all made of athearn genisus trucks, frame, walkways, shell, cab, handrails, pilots,e tc to cost less and delete the AC6000CW's,after all the SD75's are only going to be helpers and "slave" units,so it wont really matter, and after all I can install SD90MAC-H/SD90-43MAC sounds in two of them and SD75I sounds in the others, maybye 2 of the AC4400CW's could be dummies with AC4400CW sounds. ) Oh...Trainworm....If you need to contact me send the pics to amtrak001@yahoo.com
Now, Jim, which one of us slings the ....? and which one waters??
Since I'm usually stepping in it, I might as well sling it...
BTW, love that snake.

The, uh fertalizer? cow poop? Whatever works. I did plug this forum a couple times on the Yahoo Groups Rio Grande email list, but I didn't want to anoy anyone there.
Heck, I got yelled at once for not trimming the reply "inclusion" messages off of one of my replys. They can be pretty strict there but it is a good source of info. Never-the-less, I've posted questions there on a number of occasions which there were no answers too.
BTW, you know the significance of the snake don't you? Dave was lumped into the same group so he went out and got him a snake to put in his sig. I desided since I was in the same distinguished club, I'd it it also!
I am lost. I have gone to find myself. If I return before I get back, please ask me to wait.
He is one of a number of folks from the Yahoo Groups Rio Grande email list. It would be a pleasure to have Jim Eager and a few other post here too. But there isn't enough traffic here to generate much interest. Never the less, the place may grow over time.

I forgot to thank ya Slimjim for the website..that is exactly what i was looking for. THANKS!
I finally saved up enough money to order 2 of each (except for the 90MAC-H) and i hope to get started soon. i plan to put some of them up for sale, but i might change my mind and keep em all.
Seeing that unit in Rio Grande sure makes me wish for what we aren't going to have.
Don't you wish the Grande was still around? Staying or visiting in Glenwood Springs ain't the same with those darn yellow diesels running thru!

Yeah, I'm sad that I didn't get the chance to visit the Grande in the last 10 years. In 1991 I road Amtrak's California Zephyr through the rockies for the first time and I was totally in my element. I was glued to the window or the vestule door or the end car all the time and felt I was in heaven. I loved watching those Rio Grande trains pass us. *sigh*
