Hey Brakie! This is one of those locos I was telling you about and couldn't figure out what it was! I've seen one in Redding guys! Didn't have the logo on the hood, but was the same color and had CEFX on the BIG cab.

By the number on it, I think it is a GP15D. They also make GP20D's. They are EMD's built by MPI in Boise, ID.

Yes, MK built four lokies of the style you mention. Two went to Chico and two to Uncle Pete. I believe Petey has since sent theirs back whilst Chico's continue to labor on, still in ATSF blue.

There was a little discussion of this in "Trains" a couple of years ago. There is an absence of small, new switch locomotives and this one was built to fill the bill. Nice looking, different!
