I gave up IM'ing a few years back. It seemed like I never had any peace or privacy while I was online. I have heard that it's all changed since that time, and that there are a variety of ways to avoid being contacted if you don't want to be. But I already spend enough time online without adding IM back into the mix.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a busy man. I have a railroad to run.

          Good Morning Hunter,

Welcome to the RR-L. Be sure and check out 'Off Topic' Sat. morning.

I do not use IM either.

P.S. Remember, be courteous to one another. id=teal>

Welcome aboard Hunter! I too don't do IM as it's as bad as having a pager and cell phone. I have the cell phone and many times wish I didn't.

You'll find that if you place a controverial post on the RR-L Forum you'll have all the instant messages you want!

I know a guy who tried IM once, didn't like, so never used it again. Maybe you know him, the guy with only one kid.
