      Only a New Yorker GROAN

      Or maybe somebody from Boston

I'll let Debbie answer, Phil. But if you've even eaten them, you'll never forget them. Love 'em or hate 'em. No inbetween

LOL, what are GRITS? Beats oatmeal all to heck.Made from hominy.....corn.If you ever go to the deep South you will be served them with every meal,GREAT FOOD.Served as a hot cereal.I have noticed that the further you go north the harder they are to find. When we travel by motorcycle it's the only food stuff we take with us,packed in the saddle bags.We learned the first time we went to South Dakota that people had only heard of them on the "Beverly Hillbillys" and they didn't even have them in stores. Now we take our own,try them sometimes.I have been told they are an aquired taste though.I had no choice in the matter, untill I was in my 20's I thought everyone had them for breakfast at least

        Later Ya'll

id=quote>id=quote> I actually knew the answer but I figured I might as well stir up the pot I didn't know what there were until I was 27 and moved to Florida though, One of the first things I learned was what grits were.

Speak only for thy self Don.

Born and raised in Michigan, I lived there for more than fifty years. I too, learned about grits on a trip to Fla. when I was twelve. I have liked grits for fifty years.
