Greetings everyone from the now sunny upper left coast. 'Tis another fine day to be and strivin' for excellence.

Mike, one of my daughters once asked me what grits was or were and I promptly replied 'ground up cat litter.' My wife promptly smacked me as she had a mouthful of those things.

                          You know what we need?

We need a Recipe Forum. Everyone can post their favorite meals and ingredients. Call it the CHOW HALL

Debbie already contributed Recipe # 1: Fritters.

Ah yes, good ol' SOS a.k.a. chipped beef on toast. That was some pretty good stuff, and I always enjoyed it. 'Twas very satisfying. When I was at the Blue Zoo, I remember the first time our table was handed a pan of grits. I figured they were Cream o Wheat and prepared them as such. Turns out there was a 'Firstie' (senior) from the southland and he came 'unglued' at my ruining the grits, and made me eat the whole stinkin' pan of 'em. When I became a Firstie, three years later, no one at my table was permitted to eat grits, the pan stayed covered. If any protested my action, I made them eat the whole pan load.
