Thanks for the info Bucks. I'd always thought the early Baldwin scheme was a 'Milwalkee Road' scheme of grey and orange, but that was based on the B&W photo in the book. What is the red panel like? A dark Tuscan or maroon or more a signal red?

Russ, kind of a "red/orange" more on the red side. E-mail me with your snail mail and I'll loan ya the video or send a copy.

Something that I was wondering, with such a wide area of operations, some of the locos must have stayed overnight (or longer) away from home. Did McRRR have loco facilities at Hambone, Burney etc? And as for McCloud Lumber, some locos were assigned to work their lines so did they stay on the Lumber company's property or return to McCloud each day?

Good question. Since the McRRR only operates on a little over 100 mi of trackage total, I'm not sure if the lokeys returned to McCloud each day or not. When I go up there to get some photos this week, I'll ask around if I can.

Here's another Bucks! A site featuring someone building an HO scale version of the MRRR.

There must be some hidden association between the names 'McCloud' and 'Dennis'. Seems people with one name are fasinated with the other.

You may have something there! signed, Dennis McCloud......

BTW Russ, do you happen to know what road numbers the MR used on their "City of Prineville" cars? Tankertoad is painting one for me and we're stuck for a prototype number!

I will have to research that one for you. Hopefully I will find something!

                      Happy Railroading!

I could not find any info on City of Prineville cars with MR marks on them. All I could find are the road numbers for the City of Prineville XM's with their #'s. Here is a pic if that is what you are looking for. The road numbers for these cars that I have found are 7092,7145,7283,7359

Hope it helps. I will keep earching though.

                            Dennis,

Still searching m'self for those COP renumbered cars. I did, however, come across some cars that bare a striking resemblance to the COP cars with McCloud numbers in the 111xx series. Don't know if these are COP stock however.

I wonder if the McCloud would have even bothered to change the number. Maybe they just painted "MR" where it used to be "COP"?? Thanks for your efforts my friends!
