    GG1 Question

    Anyone know of a source or list that might tell me which GG1's escaped the scrapper's torch and where they might be found?

    I know of the few that survive in the various museums but I know that Amtrak may have a few laying around, etc.

        #4877 (ex-NJ Transit) was at Hoboken Terminal until sometime last year...

          lucky about 10 percent of the GG1 fleet has been preserved

          dont forget the penn museum at stratsberg they have 2 there

          i sure miss the gg1s in action

            I miss the GG1 thundering thru the Dutch Country Lancaster, Pa.

            A lot of them used this line Harrisburg to Phila. I was in my teens then.
