Well so far it looks there is 1 or 2 other forum members interested in the PRR. I hope the numbers grow.Anyway I thought maybe little introduction may be good.Hello I'm Mark Lehman.I'm modelng the PRR's West Slope(Johnstown,Pa) in N-scale.Both my great grand fathers were engineers(engineman)on the Pennsy.Pitts.Div. Mark I am also interested in the PRR.While I do not model it,I do have some PRR locomotives. Also I worked on the PRR from 1966-1969.

I model the Pennsy in the 1945 to 1960 era in HO. My model area would be the eastern part of Pennsylvania.

I worked out of the Cleveland Ave yards in Columbus Oh. My dad was a engineer on the Panhandle div. My Grandfather worked between Columbus and Bradford(Oh) for years before it closed as a terminal..I also had uncles that worked on the PRR,as well as the NYC,C&O,B&O and N&W.

Wel,yes and no.You see my Grandfather on my Dads side had a railroad nick name for all his grand kids.He always called me "brakie".when I worked on the PRR and Chessie I was a brakeman.So,I just stayed with that nick name.

Hi all! The full name is Russell Hoffman and have loved the PRR since birth. I am also an Alco-Haulic. I am not modeling anything Pennsy right now but I own a lot of PRR equipment.

HHHHHEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Anybody out there? Not much activity with the PRR Forum.....
Anyhow, I'm freelancing somepart of the PRR somewhere around the 1890's or so. I'm interesting in sharing ideas, history, etc.
To be honest, I do not have a particular love for any one railroad. I like model railroading, I live in PA and I've ended up collecting PRR steam locomotives, rolling stock, etc.....So, I guess I'm modeling the PRR....

Yes there's someone out here. For some reason, I've never noticed this forum before. Maybe your post will stir up some PRR fans. I grew up in the Pittsburgh area and have always been fascinated with the Pennsy. My era of interest is the mid 50's.

Count me in as another who missed this forum up until now. Hope I don't offend by professing my HO layout is Penn Central themed.
I haven't forgotten the heritage behind it though and still run Pennsy diesels that haven't been updated post merger. I also have a number of freight cars that will continue to keep their Pennsy lettering. I have a copy of Don Ball Jr.'s great photo book of the Pennsylvania Railroad 1940s-1950s. I was surprised and pleased to see a prototype pic of an HO scale SD-9 I own (#6589). I'm aware that the Pennsy had different designations for their locos..so SD-9 isn't correct...what is?
Any way, neat forum idea!
