  • My On30 D and F C Shortline Buildings

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting to this forum so please bear with me.

Here are some photos I took of my scratcbuilt caol shed and engine house built from plas found in Model Railroader and the Narrow Gauge Gazette. They are still waiting for material to complete them. The engine house is equipped with a Western Scale Models small machine shop kit.

Thank's Randy, I enjoy working with wood. The roof material on both buildings are going to be replaced with corrugated material or shingles from Rusty Stumps.

Welcome, Woody. Your first shots show great modelling. I plan on building a coaling facility like the one you showed us in the two first pics.

Neat buildings, something like I might like to do to house my On30 gear. Do you have the dates of the issues of MR and the Gazette they were in? I probably have them in my collection.

                  Thanks!

Thank's Bob and everyone for the kind comments. The coal house plans are from July/August 1983 Gazette and there is similar plans in the June 1955 issue of Model Railroader. The small water tower is from issue 37 of the Timber Times, but for some strange reason I can't find the magazine that the engine house plans came from. I must have misplaced it during the construction of the model :erm: . I will keep looking though and let you know Bob.
