  • Could not resist any longer!

My new Mountain Models Imports K-27, It was just too nice to resist!

This is one of the nicest models I've ever seen. The finish, lettering and details are incredible, and it runs really nice.

On the downside, when my MDC 2-8-0 is sitting next to it, it looks really toylike and plain.

With all the ready to run HOn3 stuff from MMI, Blackstone and Micro-trains now available or recently announced (MMI has announced EIGHT new locomitives!), HOn3 might be making a comeback!

I'm wavering too. That loco is a beauty. I'd like to see them do a C-16 next.

That's a beautiful locomotive, Cody. The quality of the locomotives released the past couple of years makes me think we're living in the golden age of model railroading.

                Doug,

If you visit Precision Scale's web site you will see that they have listed a C-17 and C-18 as a future MMI loco in HOn3.

                http://www.precisionscaleco.com/

Maybe not next on the list, but surely sometime.

I see the next MMI in HOn3 is a K-36 for $389 and booked in for 12/2007 ?

Well don't take that as gospel.

                Cheers

I have one of your big brothers (On3) here:

                  They are great engines.

Yeah, It's definately the pride of the fleet! I'd not hesitate to purchase more from MMI. The C-21 and 4-4-0 both look especially appealing.

Dennis, my LHS has some of the On3 versions and they look just incredible, if only I had the space!

Allen, It definately will give me the incentive to finish my MDC 2-8-0, 'cause the coffers are empty, so if I want another engine I'll have too.

                      George, I agree!

                        Congratulations Cody!!

                        There's nothing like a K class IMHO.

                        They are my favorites!

I have 3 of the Blackstones and I have an order in for the Next HOn3 K release from MMI..a K-37 due out in Dec. of this year.

                        I can't wait.

I also have my eye on one of those C-21s.

I am still waiting on my all time favorite the K-28 which is listed as a future release in HOn3.

                          A great loco Cody.

Apparently, there is indeed a great development of the HOn3 part of the hobby, with a relatively unexpected consequence, which is the difficulty to find flextrack and ready made turnouts, since the companies seem unable to produce enough for the growing market.
