    Bruce,

is the wooden Erie caboose still near the Mahwah station ?

was surprised the 1st time it was seen in the late 60s.

there was at one time a Susie Q Steel caboose near a Stone station, was that Pompton ?

have a few stories of WC Tower, will save them for later.

Pete Hasler assures me it wasnt him that would chase me out of there in the 60s or early 70s.

I see these stations everyday at work.

Ridgewood Station looks pretty much the same except that the platforms are now high level.

I always admire that tower at Waldwick.

the Sloatsburg station isnt a stop anymore ? It's still a stop on the way to Port Jervis.

The Metro North trains to Port Jervis are operated by NJ Transit.

      One correction to Bruce's posts.

Trains on the Main and Bergen lines don't run North and South.

They run East and west as do all the other Nj Transit lines except for the Atlantic City line.

Trains going to NY Penn Station and Hoboken are going East and leaving they are West bound.

The Atlantic City line which actually runs geographically East and West per the railroad timetable runs North and South.

The Erie caboose is still near the old Mahwah station and will be open for the GSD members at this Saturday's fall meet.

The Susie Q's steel caboose is still sitting next to the stone station in Pompton Lakes.

        Good memories, Spikre.
