    Athearn RTR. This is embarrassing; but how do you

    This is embarrassing [:-ashamed]; but how do you remove the body shell from the frame of the new Athearn

    ready-to-Roll line RS3. I want to install a decoder. The instructions say "To remove body, first remove the couplers and coupler boxes. Then remove the two screws securing the body (Between the front truck and the fuel tank). Now I realize it's not quite 3am; but I can't see the forest for the trees on this one. Where are the two screws securing the body :erm:



    I took the couplers and coupler boxes off; but can't find the other screws.

    according to MR website, the screws should be under the cab. mike h.

      I would like to compliment the folks at Athearn. They take great pains in acquiring a great paint job. I called Athearn and was talking to a guy from the tech department to find out how to remove the body from the frame; when I turned one of the trucks ever so slightly and there they were. Two screws.
