Ken, I tip my hat to you. I can imagine how you must have felt as you got towards the end of that carving, thinking a slip then could ruin all that went before. Well done.

Hey, Ken....Welcome to the Wonderful World of Big-Scale Modeling!
That wall looks fantastic. Congratulations on cutting out the big
door without cracking the post.
There are plenty of great interior details available from places like
Ozark Miniatures, Western Scale Models and Scale Equipment Ltd.
I can't wait to see how this turns out!!

Barry, when I first started I really didn't expect the carving to go that good. Just wanted to try it. Then, about halfway, the old don't screw this up voice came calling
Thanks Ken. This is all your fault you know. Having a great time. Putting your window tutorial to good use too
Well, I started framing the door and window openings. Also going to put a "steel" support in for the garage door.

Great looking Ken, I also applaud your efforts at cutting the doors out without cracking. I can't even do that in real life. Just for the sake of semantics, that steel support you have over the garage bay door is referred to as a lintel.

Hey, that looks great, Ken. You're building HO quality into large-scale components and the results are wonderful....everything's nice and square with a tight fit at all the joints.
And you sure know your beans when it comes to lentels! (no...wait..Chester's right. They're LINTELS)
Great job on the finish, too.
Ain't large scale fun???
