nice addition to the fence. Remember to add the detail of erosion on the ground where the gate is closed. There would be a little trench from the rain/water dripping into the driveway that would be a great detail.
Looks good and also looks like Tim is a real innovator when it comes to designing and building things.
Either that or he is just plain cheap.

Damn nice gate Ken, the hinge idea worked out, but do you have any idea how expensive new bolts are. I am sure I had some old rusty ones somewhere that would of saved some money.
Nice approach- this would actually be more towards the prototypical practice of using whatever you had on hand.. since I am going to model a backwoods railway, this would apply even more.. thanks for giving me a good idea.
I'm also just getting caught up. Both the tarp and hinge idea is something I will try in HO. I have better hope for the tarp than the working hinges, though.
It's been awhile since I've posted any progress. With the holidays came my annual cleaning of the workbench which usually brings modeling to an abrupt stop.
But this year I snuck a little modeling in during some quiet time. This will be the Red Bird Taxi building for the next diorama. Just wanted to see how it will look.
Now all I need to do is haul everything out of the closets and get back to work

So Ken,
What is to happen to the original Red Bird Taxi.

John, are you asking about the HO scale version? It's in the closet somewhere...oh ya...it's on FOS Scale Drive. Wish I could get back to that one[!]
Trussman's is still on the shelf and I've been putzing around with Red Bird but I got this box in the mail from Oregon last week. One of the specimens located inside...
17" tall and it should make a great looking tree after it dries out. Just need to figure out what to use for foilage[:-bouncy]
