    Thanks Harold,

I am a O Scale 3 rail convert to ON30,I am just starting to purchase box cars. I really like the new lowered cars. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Are all the current production Bachmann cars lowered?

Thanks or the heads up. Just to make sure I buy the new and improved boxcars, is there anything we need to be aware of when ordering on line?

I have no idea which boxcars are lowered. The only difference is the new boxcars I received had a white label instead of the gold one, but since I haven't purchased any new Bachmann cars since 2003 I don't know when they started the white labels.

Personally I like the old ones, if they are lowered for the center shank coupler they are more representative of an late 1870-early 1880's boxcar of non-colorado origins. The standard gauge boxcar configurations of that periond were similar. The Bachmann car is based on the Ohio River and Western 600 series and is a good copy. I was never big on the "hunker" factor.
