    Good morning all!

Coffee urn is ready with Railbender blend Only doughnuts today until power is restored. Lightning took out the power transformer and I don’t want to run the generator with the crew in my backyard.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. We will have rain off and on today with a high temperature in the mid-50's.

Today will be a good day to work in the basement. We will see what I can get accomplished.

Yesterday we drove thru a part of S.E. Michigan that we hadn't visited before to order our new clothes washer and dryer. We passed an eye opening number of restaurants that didn't make it thru the Covid shut-downs. Sad.

    Have a great day!

Good morning, Jim. Its a rainy morning here in northern WV. Prospects are poor for exercise and excellent for modeling today. Not such a bad thing with a Challenge deadline looming.

Donuts sound good but I'm wondering how you made coffee without power. But now looking at the trash I see the empty boxes that you brought coffee home in when you bought the donuts. Good move.

Seriously, I hope things straighten out for you soon.

      Mike

Rain and quite a bit cooler than yesterday. Might keep activity inside.

Made a quick trip over to Grand Rapids yesterday, I picked up a 4 pack of 40s-50s style gas pumps, obelisk style with round globe on top. Welcome for my project as I failed in several attempts to 3d print them.

Bruce, were you able to get what you wanted in the appliances? So many delays of that stuff these days. Reminds me of an experience friends of ours had, after waiting for weeks for a stove, they crew of 3 guys from the store delivered it the first of the week, didn't tie it down to the appliance dolly and promptly dumped it off halfway up the steps and shattered it. Good thing George isn't a big gun guy...He told them he expected a new one the next day. Not sure if they managed that.

No big plans today. Stay warm and dry will be the most likely task for the day.

        Everyone be well.

          Good morning folks

Temperature is 68 with clouds and drizzle. Supposed to be rain on and off all day. High will be 77.

I put the air conditioner in our bedroom window last night. It was just too hot and humid not to do so. Worked pretty good but then froze up just before dawn.

I got the pond filter set up and running yesterday and I need to clean it today or tomorrow depending on today’s weather. I knew it would clog quickly as it always does at the beginning of the season.

Some track I ordered arrived yesterday. I fiddled with making a crossover with some #8 turnouts and a 12.5-degree crossover. It appears to be working.

I hope to either work on the cinder conveyor or track at some point today.

I have a few chores to deal with this morning. I need to run to Kohl’s to drop off an Amazon return.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good morning, Jim and crew. I just returned home from a visit to my orthopedic surgeon. He gave me another steroid shot in the knee which will last another three months.

It's going to be in the 80's here in Tidewater Virginia. I guess we'll be going for a walk before it gets too warm.

            Have a goo day.

                Mornin' All!

What Mike said!! It's 47, headed for 58 here in the northern mitten, grey blanket on top and occasionally leaking, but at least it's leaking liquid and not white things. Good day for more inside....

This has been an up-and-down week here. Haircut late Friday afternoon, lots of joy and laughter, and then yesterday's paper had her obituary... died on Sunday. No other info, but 64 is too young. [:-angel]

Tuesday's news, though, was Good... my older son finally was able to get vaccinated for the first go-round. [^] And yesterday afternoon was a return to the water for the first time in two years. The Good News is that my ankle seems up to the tasks on the schooner, so I'm a Happy Camper. And the cardio nurse just called with the news that the rat poison is under control and working well in me, so I'm good with that.

But mostly, I'm alive and able to enjoy a whole lot of blessings. Make it a great day, All, and Stay safe!

Good afternoon from So. central Wisconsin where the sun is shining, it feels nice out and I have no idea of the temperature.

Pete, sounds like you are heading in the right directions. Good for you. I hope you don’t miss the presidential duties too much.

I am relaxing and thinking about the vacuuming but it can wait. Took the son and brother to the local airport in Middleton and they flew off to Austin before noon.

Lots of things to do and I may do some of them tomorrow.

                  Have a great day

Good evening, all. It's been raining on the NH and ME seacoast since early afternoon, and I've finally dried out after a day of sorting 'relay' ties. We all learned about a new tool today: A "torque multiplying wrench" did a wonderful job at starting to remove old screw spikes thoroughly soaked for years by water leaking into tunnels somewhere south of us. My farming partner (and ex-wife) ordered one immediately when I showed her an identical one available on-line.
