Philip thank you.
Rick thank you and a steering wheel is in the works.
Michael thank you for your comments. Those are some really
good ideas for the foreground, much appreciated.
Jerry thank you and for your keen eye. I'll tone down the front axel
when I add the much needed steering wheel.
Mike thank you and hope your doing better.Owner, General Manager, and all around "chief cook and bottle washer" of the Caz Coal-and-Wood Railroad

Rick is a photo of the foreground in question:
It's 4.5 inches wide and 2.5 ft long. The other end tapers to almost nothing so that
will be just scenery material. This is the area that needs a little more something.
Thanks for any and all suggestions in advance.Owner, General Manager, and all around "chief cook and bottle washer" of the Caz Coal-and-Wood Railroad

Just a quick update:
Ok so here's the steering wheel, thanks Bernd, which was previously a valve handle. It measures a scale 12 inches which seems to
be about the right size for a tractor. Also painted the stick shift and front axle, thanks Jerry, a flat black. So now I
think it's finished.Owner, General Manager, and all around "chief cook and bottle washer" of the Caz Coal-and-Wood Railroad

Bernd thanks. I don't know why, but I never even thought to add a steering wheel until you mentioned it.
I guess it must have been one of those "senior moments".

Fine job with that tractor conversion, and the job done with those wheels. Great idea as well.
The scenery space is small enough it could be a couple of oil drums on a rack, or RR ties and rail plates.
Some ideas here I posted a while back; Old Discarded Railroad Ties - https://railroad-line.com/node/29994

Larry, you've already received some ideas.
You can maybe put a little scene like this all the way to the left so it's not in the way when reaching over and won't block the view of the shop.
Also maybe put a grade crossing in.Follow along as my dog and I travel the country in our van.

Thank you guys for all the great ideas....now I'll have to figure what ones to use;
although at 2.5 ft length I most likely can use them all. Now off to the "think tank".Owner, General Manager, and all around "chief cook and bottle washer" of the Caz Coal-and-Wood Railroad

Finished the fenced area on the side of the Garage with some various junk and weeds:
Placed some tires, a box of junk, trash can, gas can, old radiator, and some pieces of metal. Added weeds and some
unruly clumps of grass.
Here is another shot showing the junk against the Garage wall. Wanted some detail pieces but didn't want to
overdue the area. Still want to get a truck of some sort to go in this area which should fill it up more. Everything
was primed, painted then weathered with some rust for a unused exposed to weather look.
I have an old time gas pump to put together which will be in the front of the garage along with a few items
that I need to order yet. Also a couple of items for the other side along with a big tree that I'll be putting the
finishing touches on soon then planting.
While I'm waiting for the parts to almost finish the Garage area I will start on the foreground stuff to get an idea
of space and finalize exactly what is going to go there. Until next time.

Larry, that area looks very good and a truck there would be perfect.
