    Well that would explain the lack of a post. Thought I was seeing things.

    Odd that the forum software didn't delete his name/post data from the "Last Post" category.

        Coal loads are a bit too narrow, I'm thinking about redoing the master and mold. I forgot to account for shrinkage of both mold and plaster. But they still look OK. The color is craft paint "charcoal" with the 'coarse black shiny' Pan Pastel.

          yea, a little thin, so stay out of the balloon. Is it noticeable at your normal layout viewing?

            What I should do is file a notch for the center cross brace and install those.

            The other thing I noticed is the wheels rub against the hopper casting. I have 2 more on order, I'll sand down the thickness of that casting. But on these, I'll carefully file down the outside of the casting, and remember that the hopper can't be seen that well in normal lighting :-)
