  • Thursday morning lounge

Good morning all from 26f heading to 40+ and sunny N.E. Indiana. The temperature fell back just enough to slow the melting. The coffee urn is READY with Railbender blend today. The special is an egg, cheese, and sausage biscuit. The oatmeal pot is looking like it is ready for a scrubbing, so if you are the last person to take oatmeal, drop it off at the scullery. :yuck:

I worked on the turntable again yesterday, and my new glasses must be for someone else. I made another appointment for a recheck. A few more parts trickled in yesterday. So progress is moving SLOWLY.

We're getting psyched up for VAX 2 early tomorrow morning about 30 miles South of here. So somebody else please open the lounge tomorrow.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning, Jim and crew. We're supposed to see temps sneak into the 60's in Tidewater Virginia. We're going to Costco this morning - senior hour.

Jim, Pat and I had absolutely no after effects from our second vaccination. Friends our age had the same response. Hope yours goes well.

I'm still messing with Kadees and magnets. It seems each problem solved leads to a new problem found. I'm having fun with it, but I don't know how long it'll be fun.

    Have a good day.

Good morning from beautifully sunny Wisconsin. 16f degrees now heading into the 40’s. The melt down continues.

Thanks Jim for opening. After my swimming I will come back for breakfast.

I believe another scenic drive may be needed this afternoon. Tuesday I decided to head 70 miles to Hiawatha Hobby just west of Milwaukee. I was coming up to the 12/18 split to I94 and instead of a left to Milwaukee I took the right exit 138 miles to Lombard Hobby outside of Chicago. Felt good and since one can never get enough of a good thing I will try it again. Athearn Genesis Gp40w’s and Gp50’s are on inventory clearance at $113. My credit card will definitely lighter on the way home. Retail therapy is great.

      Enjoy your day

Good morning Jim, George, Tom and the rest of the crew. It is 25 degrees and heading up into the upper 30's later today under sunny skies.

We have an early afternoon appointment to get the oil changed in the Jeep. I think that I'll do the guys at the shop a favor and take the car in for a wash first.

I made some good progress on the Sand House yesterday and will get back to it today.

Our first vaccine shot is still on for tomorrow afternoon. The location is about 80 miles away.

        Have a great day!

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast is 40-ish and clear with wind out of the northwest. I started my day organizing layout tours for the April 10-11 NERx on-line event - I'm talking to a few people who are a little famous in our hobby while looking forward to seeing their presentations. Then I hung the sheets on the line, now time for some tax prep. After lunch, back to figuring out how to make body bolsters.
