  • Thanks Scott, Karl & Mike.

Scott, that sure is very neat work. Really high quality look to it.

Mike, Well it certainly has turned into a challenge for you.

The main thing is the participation, not the finishing. Post when you can.

And most of all, take care of yourself.

    • Excellent work, Rob and Scott.

Mike, best wishes. I hope everything is constant improvement from here on.

I've made some progress on my interlocking tower. Here are the stairs:

Here's how they look in place:

Looks odd without the landing, but the stairs are a casting which determines the location and dimensions of the complete stairway. It made sense to position the casting first. I'm working on the landing now.

      • Nice work Mike. The tower is certainly looking good now.

Lucky having a casting for the stairs, because they can be a pain to build otherwise.

                  • Rob great job on the docks. They add so much to the overall build; now it really screams New England.

Michael the tower turned out really nice. The stairs look great also. That should be a nice addition to your layout.

Mike glad your feeling better; being sick is never fun.

                          • Well the 2021 Challenge is about to finish.

When I started I only really intended to get the structure done, within the timeframe. I knew I could never complete the whole diorama in the time allowed.

However, getting all the wharf area done as well is a bonus for me, but I still have many weeks of work to finish it all off.

So I'm calling this done as far as the Challenge goes.

You can keep following on my full build thread here if you're still interested:

                            • Rob,

You have done a fine job throughout.

I'll be posting my tower later today. Similar story to yours in that the main structure is done, but there will be details added to and around the tower when placed on the layout.
