Scott, that is Pasties with a short "a" as in "past-ys", not the naughty Pasties with a long "a".

After a few evenings I managed to finish the two main truss assemblies for the bridge:

We're currently caught in the so-called 'arctic-vortex' here so model work in my nicely heated workshop is the order of the evenings.

Looks great Larry. That lattice-like roof framing really catches the eye.

Good work on the kitchen lean-to Mike.

    Glen,

Congrats! The bridge looks like fun.

    Bruce,

Kat's is shaping up nicely. Looks like is serving up something naughty!

    Rob,

    Excellent weathered shingles!

    Larry,

Nice rafters, are you going to give them the bombed look?

    Mike,

I like that little house your building, looks cozy.

Thanks, George, Michael, Bruce, Glen, Larry And Mike.

I'm very happy with the shingles.

Glen, nice to see you onto your next Challenge. Wooden bridges always look. As Mike said, everything is on show. I'm sure you'll do an excellent job with this kit.

Larry, Impressive wood framing on the roof. At the moment it looks so nice, but of course, it will look worse for wear, by the time you finish.

Mike nice job on your little building. I do like that colour and weathering.

I have been working on my challenge project along with designing my new layout and stripping the old layout sections down to bare 1x4s and L girders.

The next thing was to assemble the walls of the main house.

I decided to add a kitchen lead-to to the back of the house. Here are the walls after being cut out and stained with A/I then braced. I stained the walls with Floquil UP Harbor Mist Gray.

Here is the kitchen installed to the house.

The kit comes with peel and stick doors and windows. I have installed the doors and windows along with the four supports for the front porch roof. Be careful with these supports because they are very fragile. I broke one but was still able to use the tab end to support the roof.

Because of the lean-to I had to modify the rear roof section to go around the lean-to.

Until next time. Thanks for looking.

Glen congratulations on finishing your first project. Looks like you picked an interesting project for your next.

Bruce the front wall of Kate's Kitchen looks great. I'll have the beef stew.

Rob the shingles look very good and the weathering is outstanding.

    Here's my second project:

I've never built a wooden bridge kit. This will either turn out well and be a complete disaster!
