I've now finished it off this small section.

I made a gable trim, and the finial is actually a toothpick.

For the roof I wanted a slightly different look, so I did shingles again, but have also added tar paper as well, to look like a repair.

And here's how it looks when attached to the main structure. I've also temporarily added some windows. I usually don't add my windows till last so I don't get any paint on the glass.

Working on a rooftop water tank at the minute.

I want to have a rooftop water tank so have been working on that this week.

Not sure what purpose it would serve, but I always think they look great.

Used a thick cardboard roll for the core.

Then clad it in balsa strips, and also made up the top. Also from balsa.

The bands are styrene strips

then got to staining & weathering it.

The bottom is coffee stirrer sticks

Assembled, and a bit more dry brushing to finish it off.

Now assembling the stand

Tank Stand is made. All balsa.

And a trial fit on the roof. Won't be fixed to the roof until near the end of the build. I'm clumsy.

I've always liked those roof top water tanks. Coffee stir sticks, I buy them by the box of 1000. They make great boards for modeling, just make sure you buy the square end ones. Otherwise you have to cut all the round ends off.
