    Pete, WOW!! that one sounds fantastic!! It is now on my list for sure but it is similar to my drugstores and bus station counter.

    Also, I did do a news stand full of newspapers and magazines.

      Pete, that is fantastic idea, I love it and it is now on my list. However, it is very similar to
      the drug stores I have done and the counter section of the bus station. I also did a news stand
      complete with newspapers and magazines. It still is fascinating.

              David,

              I see looking back a few pages that you were trying to find my old build strings. When I try that I simply always get back to the topic page instead of the actual build pages.

              Vol. 1 and 2 seem to be missing all the photos so if you need any maybe I can post them for you or send them via emails (if not too many).

              If you haven't been able to see them let me know and I will post the proper links.

                  I finally attached the front to the building. I need to work on that sidewalk next.

                  It can't be seen but I also made the box that slides in from the back and will contain the interior details,
                  whatever they may be as I have not decided yet.

                      The pair of wall-sized signs look really good there, Bob.
                      You can always stick a FOR RENT sign in the front window until deciding what you want to move in.

                          Bob,

                          You could make it a 1940's hobby shop in the year 2022 and put that "For Rent" sign in the window like Bill Suggests.

                            Wow the pictures with the building lit are great! It is just a beautiful old building. If I was smaller, I'd want to move right in!

                              I have been playing around with making stuff for a 1940's hobby shop, just in case I decide to go that way.
                              There is a problem, however. If you google hobby shop or hobby kits you get tons of photos of the nice
                              full color kit boxes but they are from the 1950's onward. I not only modeled through the 40's I also have several actual
                              kits from that era in my collection. Don't forget, that is a before the plastic kits explosion, a time when kit boxes were very plain
                              and the kit usually contained a plan sheet and a block or two of wood plus an envelope of powdered glue to mix
                              with water,. Towards the end of the period you might find some major parts cut out and small parts printed on
                              the wood blocks. Then the wonderful Stromberger kits with the machine carved wood parts but even that may
                              have been the 50's.

                              How's this for a kit?
