  • Bill, Greg, David, Ray, and Scott, thanks for your posts, I appreciate every one of them.

Still waiting for the brick sheets to come in so there really has been no progress on this build.

The plan right now is to finish the brick area, paint the brick area, paint the front and trim, install the clear and

stained glass panels, and then start thinking about the interior and lighting. BTW, I have not yet decided what business this

will be, simply a newer business now in this older building. I have several ideas but have not settled on one.

    • Bob,

I have come back several times just to look at the front wall facade, and you have totally outdone yourself.
It is a very nicely constructed wall. there is nothing out of whack, made by expert hands.

        • Rich and Jerry, thanks for your postings, much appreciated.

I know, I know, I have not posted much lately.

As I posted I am waiting for some brick sheet material to come in. It is really more complicated than that, while I have been enjoying football on TV
(I am not a TV watcher but I do like my football). Then some visits from family for the holidays. Then to make matters worst I guess I have been a
victim of a porch pirate. It turns out that that package was delivered to my front porch a while back. Research shows that that package plus another
that were delivered at the same time have gone missing!!

Wonderfully, both merchants have volunteered to replace those packages free of charge, OUTSTANDING!!

But I still do have the wait.

I did manage to squeeze in a little time and started making parts for the roof a chimney, an access hatch, the back wall, two roof vents, and more to come.

          • Great progress Bob! Especially the stained glass. Nifty cutter also.

              • Sorry you got hit by the porch pirates. That's been happening a lot these days.

                • Philip. Dave, and Ray, thanks for your postings.

I have received an email telling me that my brick sheets are again on the way, hope to get back to that soon.

I did get a few small things done. I used pieces of screening, cut to shape and folded to make the drain covers
in the two back corners of the roof and painted them rust. I also glued the access doorway, the chimney, and the two vents into place
and used black construction paper to make the flashing all around.

After weathering I plan to add a whole bunch of junk stored on this roof.

                  • Looking back I think the one thing that MOST interested me in using this forum was the fact that one could
subscribe to any build and receive emails whenever anything was posted to that build. It made it fun to keep
up with various builds of interest and built friendships.

ANY CHANCE OF GETTING THAT FEATURE BACK ??????

                    PLEASE.

                    • I'm just getting caught up here, Bob. It's fascinating what you can do with styrene. That building front is a work of art.

Bob, if you go to the top of this page, you'll see a button on the right that says "+ Subscribe". It's on every thread, so anytime you see a thread you want to follow you can click that to subscribe. (I'm just assuming it works, I haven't tried it myself.)

                        • Ray,

I have tried that several times with no luck, in fact, the top of this page says SUBSCRIBED. I still do not get email notices.

Does anyone have this working ???

                          • Bob,

I had to look a couple of times to see the drains, but indeed they are there. Fine job on the chimney and other details as well.

Apparently, subscribe doesn't work the way we expect.

Try this: Go to the top of the page and click on your name. You'll see a drop-down menu, and at bottom is "User Settings". Select that, then on the User Settings page, select "Notifications". There you'll see an option to turn on email notifications.

                              • George, Ray, and Mike, thanks for your posts.

Mike - I am thinking about redoing those drains with a more substantial screening to make them more visible.

Ray - thanks for your help but I did that long ago. In fact, when I subscribe to a build the word "subscribed" appears
near the top of each page, however, I still do not receive the emails. Maybe it just doesn't like me.

Again, is ANYBODY getting these email notifications ???
