  • Bob,

    Looks nice.

This is timely. I'll be doing Z scale paper brick on the Pleasant Valley Locomotive Works.

      • Dave, Greg, Pete, Scott, and Ray, Thanks for your comments, Sorry, this is going to be a SLOW one due to my shortened available work time.

Ray, one thing that is not working for me on the new forum is the email notification of posting to builds. If you start one please
send me an email heads up so I can know to follow along.

I did get a little done on this build. That extra piece for each wall will be glued inside at the top where it will double the
wall thickness to a more realistic thickness. The bottom slanted edge will make a place for the roof to glue in.

Since the lower half of the brick wall will be covered up by an adjacent shorter structure I decided to cut in a
window in he upper half just to be more interesting.

                • Bob,

Nice forethought on the edge for the roof. It's details like that, I forget.

The two sides were glued into slots along the sides of a GatorBoard base and held squarely in place with several heavy metal 1-2-3 blocks until the glue dried.
Then the first floor ceiling and the roof base were glued in place.

The result was a nice square form on which to add all the details. That section out front is the base of the sidewalk.

                    • Bob,

Looks stout! The brick looks three dimensional in the first shot!
