        • Bob,

You're such a seat of the pants modeler; I'm sure the results will be outstanding.

          • I'm on board to see what develops. I'm interested in how you determine the correct sizes of the structure as you go along. I've seen others do it and I just can't get my head wrapped around it. I guess it's that "tool makers disease" of needing exact dimensions that causes the problem.

            • Bob, wonderful to see you have a new project in mind!
Made even better by the fact that you plan on sharing it here with us again!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

              • Carol, Bill, Dave, Philip, Mike, Bernd, and Greg, many thanks for you nice input.

I haven't even started yet and I have discovered a mistake, don't know how I missed it.

I have to redo that first photo to align the mortar line at the top right to the photo edge.

                      • Fred and Scott, thanks for your posts.

I forgot to mention it but I took the easy way to come up with the scale of this structure,
I simply enlarged the photo until the bricks became the size of 1/24 scale bricks.

Here the photo is glued to a piece of foam-core with room at the top to ad the steps of
the wall to accommodate a slopping roof.

                        • I traced that wall onto another piece of foam-core to make the opposite wall. Not a whole lot of
this wall will be visible because it will have another smaller store front butted up against it and what
will still be showing will have several smaller signs painted on it.

I did not like leaving it blank white so I applied some 1/24 scale styrene brick sheets to just cover it up for now.

I'm late to the party here, for which I apologize, but I love the new project! As Greg mentioned, that sign looks like a good fit... like comfortable jeans! Keep going!
