Thanks Rich. Glad you like it.

The diorama I'm thinking of doing will include a scratchbuilt, Maine / New England version of the boat house on the Muskrat Ramble.

Probably also include this scratchbuild I did last year.

Finally got a new printer. Already named the other boat after my wife.

This one I'm naming after my sister.

And looking forward to getting the boathouse diorama finished, so I have somewhere to put these boats.

Thanks Ted. glad you like it.

Although I started with the same hull for both boats, they've certainly ended up very different.

And the names have finished off what has been a very enjoyable build.

Looking forward to getting it on the diorama.
          Regards Rob

Are you going to add a few salty characters to the boats? If you're going to add "ice" a friend on mine crushes those clear plastic CD cases and it looks very realistic.

Thanks Mike, appreciate the ongoing interest.

Frank, yes definitely adding some "salty" characters. One of them might even be called Frank. They are Preiser figures, some with beanies on there heads, so would look like trawlermen / sailors.

Thanks for the tip on the ice. Sounds like a good method

Karl thanks for your kind words. I've tried to give as much build detail as I can. Hopefully some others might build some of these.
                  Regards Rob

                    • Karl that would be great to see another boat builder here. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

                      • I believe, if I heard you correctly, you had 3 boat hulls. Well?

                        • Hello Frank. Correct. Boy talk about being under pressure.

The 3rd hull was made when I was doing the first trawler, but wanted to then complete one at a time.

It will get done, and I think will be a classic Maine Lobster boat style.

If I go back to that now, then the boatshed build will be put on hold. Too many builds, and not enough time.

BTW, isn't it about time you started a new build. Not too late to join this years Challenge.
                          Regards Rob
