Thanx so much for droppin' by, and for all the compliments and encouragement. Ya'll are a great inspiration. Well, as I stated yesterday, all that's left is cosmetic stuff; although I am gonna move the gap in the rails for the reversing stretch through Texas Draw. I get a little 'hesitation' when the loco passes over it. I think it's because it is located after the 30 degree crossing, and in front of the diverging rails of the turnout it is about to traverse. We'll see.........................

Move the gap from the yellow arrows, to the red arrows. The train approaches from where the red arrows are, and 'hesitates' as it crosses the gap. I think it's because the turnout isn't supplying enough 'juice' to get it across the gap and through the turnout..

Well, I fixed the gap issue, sorta; although it still happens now it's more of a 'studder'. Oh well I'll see what else I can try. Anyways, I moved on to more pressing issues. I started on the corner of the 4x8 section where the track goes 'around the rock edifice' known as 'OL FLATHEAD'. I painted the rock outcropping to match 'OL FLATHEAD', and also brought the black fascia board around to make a corner piece that sorta 'frames' the rock. Hope it looks ok, I couldn't think of anything else to do that was simple and that would look like it's supposed to be that way. Here's todays' shots, sorry about the crappy camera (flip phone)..................................

Larry C., Rick, Phillip, and Scott; Gentlemen, let me offer you my warmest and profound thanx. I spent all day on the RR. First I 'On30ized' 2 more PECO turnouts, to replace 2 that were 'bugging' the crap outta me, then I changed out the ARU with a brand new one (which I had put aside) and I realized that the locos were stalling at the gap at the end of the reversing section, after having traversed the reversing section of track. So, I decided to simply re-solder the gap and cut a gap back far enough away from any crossing tracks or turnouts so the loco has a few 'free inches' of 'unencumbered' trackage before the crossing and turnout in rapid succession. BINGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the engineer just needed some time to figure the S**T out. Anyhow, I tested all the locos, forwards and 'backerds', up and down the whole line. Smooth as silk. FOR 4 HOURS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since nobody got hurt, I took some "pichers" fer show n' tell !!

All of these shots with the exception of 1 would not have been possible without the rebuild of the railroad. Either the access angles would not have been accessible, or the scenery did not exist. Thanx again for all your support, comments, suggestions, and interest. ONE WEEK FROM TODAY the show is ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
