Today I was working on the windows needed for this project. To make-up the bank of windows on the front of the structure, I’m going to use Tichy Train Group 6/6 double hung windows #8024, and cut off the window sills at the locations shown in the below picture, to make-up a single group of windows for the middle front section of the Camp Store. Then, I glued the windows together, (second set of pictures) and placed stripwood inserts in-between the window sections, as they will be in view and seen from inside the structure. I’m going to set this part of the project aside for now, and work next on cutting out the walls to size, then cut out the windows and door of the Camp Store front wall section. I needed to first make-up the bank of front windows so I could get the size hole I’ll need in the front wall.

Louis, this camp store project already looks like another winner from you.
Will the 2 halves have store related details in them, or just empty?
Does this store have a half off sale prior to moving it?

Thanks Greg for your comments, and following along with this build.
The store will be transported empty, however, I'll have shelves, a counter and wall sections inside along with a railroad potbelly stove.
I'm sure those loggers would have appreciated a half-off sale.

Louis this looks like a very interesting project. I'll be following along seeing how this progresses.
You do seem to have a knack for something different from time to time and it's usually amazing.

Thanks Larry for your kind comments. And yes, if it is different and unique, that's for me!

Yesterday and this morning I finished up the windows and door openings. Following the pictures below, I’m using Midwest Basswood 1/16” spacing Board & Batten for my structure, I cut out the front, rear and end walls to size. The end walls were then split down the middle to make-up the Camp Split Store sections. Next, I put masking tape behind my front wall section to keep the wood from splitting, while I cut out the front windows and door. I started with a drill and made four holes at the window corners to help with avoiding any splitting, and used a new sharp razor blade to cut out the large window opening. Following with cutting the three single window openings and the doorway.
Next, I’ll have to file, and clean-up the openings to press fit the Tichy Train Group windows and door into place.
