I downloaded the PDF from the dairy markets website. That will be interesting reading.

Interesting enough on the White River blog. That is by George Dutka. Last night, I opened up my July 2020 issue of NMRA Magazine, and there is an article by George about building several butter dish cars. Michael also gave me a heads up on this article. Some good information in there. I added a couple items to my next Walthers order to be used on my own F&C version of the butter dish.

But, for now, I think the only thing I am missing is a drawing of the container car's underside. I just do not think it exists. But, using Chuck Yungkurth's drawing of the car's side and the cast-in detail on the F&C frame, I have a good idea of what it may look like. I also have an email out to Steve at F&C to see if he has a better picture or drawing of the underside. If I do not hear back, I will use the very dark photo included in the instructions to place the brake components. What you cannot see is the piping, rods, and levers. I will be making my best effort to figure out where they go, if there is no information provided.

Thank you to everyone that provided input. I have scans of the articles, now. And, while they did not have plans of the Container on Flat Car, there are some great photos of the car and text that will help me in my build of the model. Thanks, again!

I guess I should add that not only am I searching for history, but also plans. Specifically of the COFC cars. I have plans of the side and end. But, what I really need are plans of the top deck and the underside.
