  • Simple DC transistor throttle

I'm looking for an old MR article in the august 1976 issue called 'The Simplest Transistor Throttle' by Peter Thorn. I think this article was later reprinted in Easy-to-Build Electronic Project for Model railroaders.

I'm trying to make a very simple walkaround throttle for my narrow gauge spur.

I have both and can send them to you. They are not the same so might want to see both.

That's great, Mike. I really appreciate it.

There's also an article in Practical Electronic Projects for Model Railroaders on a walkaround throttle

Yes. Thorne has plans for several throttles in his book.

I used the 852B PWM throttle from the above link on a previous layout and its performance was excellent.
