We will take our walk this morning and then I will get back to work on the Campbell Oil Derrick this afternoon.

Sunny and 50 but rain and cold forecast for later. Waffles were the highlight of the day. The Doll and I enjoyed them even with the fake chemical goo we put on them. The fine feathered friends are entertaining at the back window, fat and fuzzy seems to be taking a break.

I tinkered with drawing and printing yesterday, did some landscaping and made it through another day of disorder in life.

That oil derrick is becoming quite complex, Bruce. I was skimming through a book the Doll picked up on line about the history of our UP base of operations, Manistique. There is a photo in there of the basics of a drilling rig like yours that was being used for drilling water wells. It showed a derrick and mechanicals similar to the model but none of the building structure.

Everyone have a good day. Safe and healthy, locked down in solitary. Another 3 weeks in the hole the warden said. In the 1970s our Sheriff at the time had ‘the hole’ , literally a 15’ square room Bare with Terrazzo floor and bench room with a 8-9” hole in the floor, pepto-bismol pink as it was supposed to calm down people in crisis. I might order a can of pink paint.

I'm planning to work on my swaybacks this afternoon. For some reason the project is going very slow.

Well still morning in Wisconsin on May 10th and the WGFA are falling and the flakes are quite big. Thankfully they melt when they hit the ground.
