Had to try something today that I've been thinking about for awhile. A single hung window. If you are into 'transition period', you surely know that Central airconditioning wasn't around. For that matter clothes dryers consisted of two anchor points, a heavy piece of string and clothespins. Green energy to the max!. Then Betty Furness, made us feel like bums if we didn't have all these power sucking devices.

OK, I'll give it a rest. Houses and small offices had windows that opened to the fresh air. Oops, I'm going off the rails again.

So it is essential to be able to get that fresh air inside, and the fried fish smell out. [/soapbox]

Here is what I drew up today, and after a couple of iterations, here they are. Operable windows.

    Fresh off the 3D printer.

After a bit of a cleanup with a jeweler's file.

Now I need to start planning a house to install them in. :erm:

When I saw the penny next to the window, I was impressed!

          Thanks Pete and George,

Glazing them will be the next step. This was a 'thinking cap' exercise to be sure.
