  • Water from toilet paper

I just stumbled onto this... The guy shows how to make realistic water using glue, toilet paper, and gloss clear coat:

Of course, anyone wanting to try it may have to wait until TP is commonly available again.

A different approach for sure. However, other than plaster mixed into Sculptamold, the toilet paper and glue would act very much like Sculptamold. The toilet paper with the glue turns into a Paper Mache type mixture.

Now I know where all the toilet paper went. Thanks for sharing your find Ray. All knowledge in modeling is great to know.

    I'm Not picking it up!

I actually had a friend back in New Jersey redo his harbor scene using this technique for the water. He got very good results.

Thanks for the link, Ray. However it isn't very timely during the great 2020 toilet paper shortage.

There's probably a YouTube on making your own toilet paper..........

Fred Dellaiacono, an avid modeler and friend from back in Jersey is in his 80's. Having finished his layout, he spends much of his time ripping old scenes out and re-doing them.

After seeing the TP Water Video on YouTube, he re-did his harbor scene. He loved this new technique, and I really like the look.

Always nice to see and learn about different techniques.

Now if you could turn water into toilet paper you'd really have something now.

Impressive looking scene, hats off to Fred!

This was very interesting to watch. I like the result of this method. Fortunately, my son-in-law works at one of the tissue manufacturing companies here in the Philadelphia area and I am up to my a.., well ears, in toilet paper.
