  • Philip great work on the brake wheels!! Yup Cad programs and 3D printing...way beyond my skill set.
Dude was that a "floppy disk" the part was laying on? Haven't seen one of those in years; if so your showing
    your age.Lol.

    • How dare you call me aged!

Old floppy on the left. Modern SD card on the right. Even my modern sd card in now obsolete!
The new ones are super tiny!

I'll take old as a complment!

I probably shouldn't crow to loudly, I have a box with about 15 floppy disks plus a floppy drive. Of course no motherboards
now have any ports to plug one into. Oh yea I also have the old ribbon cable too. I guess I'm the one that's old.Lol.

    • As of late the loggers are needing more buggies to move logs. I'm making 25 sets to fill the bill. Just a few photos for an update.

Log removal is priority and then aggregate can be removed. My tall tale of DMQ. I'm using 00-80 UNF nuts for now JB welded in until my brass inserts are made. The brass ones are UNF 00-80 and will cut labor cost. The threads of either style make the pivoting bunk friction free which is great on the tangents. The nuts are a pain to level vs. the brass inserts.

            • Did you considering looking for/ using brass grommets like they use in RC plane or model ships instead of the threaded brass inserts?

              • Thanks Roland. I have a couple sets finished in the raw and ran them about 2 hours with logs loaded and 7 or 8 cars behind. They run great & no derails.

                • David, I did and all were to big. A 2-56 screw is also to large. I'm using the nut bolt combo to prevent binding. The log and bunk weigh is absorbed by the screw and easily pivots thru turns, etc. Trucks are fixed with a #2 x 3/16" self tapping screw.

                  • Philip, like the bunks. Nice engineering designing them. Did you print a master, then cast them in silicon molds?~mike

Kind of iffy until tested. Hopeful. Thanks.
