  • Water Tower

A few weeks back a friend of mine was drinking a Voss water and walla...that would make a nice backer for a water tower. Then a huge search ensued looking for plans.

Cut to size and wrapped with 4,5,and 6" staves.

Then came the spout. Resin and wood dowel rod. Planning on some Archer rivets to keep the profile low. The end spout is a donated smoke stack end to profile the end and support on prototype.

Here are some important WT fixtures.

    Some were half round banded.

Totally messed the rivet placement on large end on this pipe! Hope I can save it!

          Very nice.

I'm sure you'll sort out the rivet issue.

Thanks Larry! I may get the rivets in today, long process. Finally a day off!

Neat project! Thank God I model 1965 and don't have to fool with things like that or I would never get my layout done.

Finally...hoop fasteners on .025 plastic rod. Big magic marker paint absorbs well without flaking!

Nice, I have been using brown sharpies as a base coat on metal I want to rust. You might want to give them a try as well.
