The water traps we use on our compressors. Does it matters how the bowl is orientated? Will it still work if I have to point it up?

    Thank you

Isn't the draincock on the bottom? How are going to drain it? Don't know how large your compressor is, but It may be a little awkward.

I’ve always figured the bowl has to be down. Unless you have antigravity water or are in the Southern Hemisphere.

Hi Bob, the water trap and filter regulator is designed to work with incoming cool air, a water trap is a simple method of removing water. The air enters one side, and then it circulates around the bowl where the water collects at the bottom of the trap and drains out. You need the gravity for it to work properly.

If you have it upside down the air will be travelling through, and therefore carrying water, that kinda defeats its purpose.
