Good morning crew, readers, and lurkers from overcast, muggy, and buggy N.E. Indiana. It's a jungle out there! The coffee urn is READY with Pullman Porter blend today.

An egg, sausage, cheese, English muffin is up on the serving line. Fresh fruit and the juicebar. Oatmeal and tea for the alt-crew.

A nonrail event yesterday, went and saw "Incredibles 2" with our grandson. He liked it, I had a splitting headache afterwards. :erm: The volume was way too loud.

Last night I actually got out to the shop for some peace and quiet.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning from a cool, wet, flooded, overcast So. Wisconsin. It is 63 now heading to 71f degrees, the tv guy says a good chance of rain this morning, my cell phone says nope.

I dropped feeders on my layout every 6’ in preparation for my DCC system that is on order to be able to use the ProtoThrottle that is also on order. Doing this really makes me appreciate running DeadRail. Today I solder.

If you have kids or grandkids hug them today extra hard.

Good morning grandpa Jim and the rest of the crew. Is is 65 degrees and cloudy at the moment in northern NJ.

I got another truck load of 'stuff' from the garage and barn carted off to the dump yesterday. Today my brother and his wife are driving down from New Hampshire, not far from Dave, and we will join up with them and my sister for lunch and dinner.

      Have a great day!

I'm off to Philadelphia today to attend a military retirement ceremony. My friend and I were "put in charge of each other." My job was to teach him about systems acquisition and how to be a good PM. His job was to keep me away from people who pissed me off and generally keep me out of trouble :-) The ceremony will be held by another friend from that project/era, who is now a 2-star general. So I'm looking forward to the ceremony (but not the drive there and back...)

Good Morning from the eastern end of Lake Ontario:

            Thanks for opening, Jim.

Mostly cloudy and 18C/64F at the moment. Apparently, it's sunny today with highs in upper 20sC/70sF.

Special day in our household, my son, Dustin, turns 17, and my youngest daughter, Cara, graduates from Grade 8. Wow how time flies.

Actually heading to the train room for a bit this morning before we have a special lunch later for the celebrants.

            Have a great day,

            Michael

Good morning, everyone. Just doing a few things around the house, this morning.

Last night, I finished up the pillar crane for my mine. I posted photos on my Wyoming Valley thread. I need to clean off the workbench before starting the next project.

Cloudy, cool and damp. That’s a relief from the mid 90s Monday. I managed to get the lawn mowed yesterday before the rains came. I then migrated to the basement and did 25’ of background painting. Blob blob blob blob blob.....when Chris Lyon does it it looks like nice lush countryside....me? A bunch of blob blob blob....30’ plus to go. I’m going to get a couple more paint brushes when I go out next. Over 100’ total.

I get the online version of Railway Age in my e-mail on a frequent basis. Often a bunch of business stuff i don’t understand. Today, tho, was an editorial about the accident involving the Amtrak special loaded with congresspersonages that hit a truck in VA. https://www.railwayage.com/safety/yo...-get-it-right/ I think the lesson here is one a careful, thoughtful person should apply to most everything we see and read these days. Not just about railroads but most everything.

I’m going off to find Chucks photos of his crane. Everyone have a good day.

                  Mornin' All!

Have cruised through a couple of times today, but this is the first "stopping local." 73, mostly sunny (despite the WW reports) and headed for a very comfortable 77 here in the northern mitten. Delightful day....

Did get a look at Chuck's crane-- nicely done!

Congratulations on retirements, birthdays, graduations etc. Milestones all, and celebrations are indicated.

Contractor has been in to look at the necessary replacements for a couple of windows, and we took an overall look at the house-- lots of little stuff needs attention. "Joys of a homeowner," as my late FIL used to say.... :yuck:

Lots to do, and a decent day in which to do it, so it's time to get underway. Make it a great day, all, and stay safe!
