  • Monster Modelworks is closing

I just received an email from Jimmy Simmons that he is closing his business.

And moving on to other adventures.

I wish him all the luck in the world!

His laser-cut weathered bricks and stones 'raised the bar'. It was great for kitbashing and scratchbuilding, as well as making great kits.

Here’s a quote from the email that was sent out:

“After seven years, Monster Modelworks is closing / selling the business. The business is still very robust and will take serious offers from interested parties.”

Perhaps an opportunity for an enterprising individual.

I was also surprised to read the email, but seeing many hobby business's going out, I wasn't totally shocked. Jimmy made some incredible models, and I am honored to have known him, as well as meet him at the last narrow gauge show I attended. I have many of his kits and have plenty of supplies to last a while, but now I know that will be in limited supply.

Jimmy, I wish you well, and hope, at least you can still keep in contact with us.

No question about it. Best brick sheets and road/pavement materials in the business.

I have a stock in supply, but will order additional materials to be on the safe side'..

Hate to see him go'..and wish him well'..
