  • Tuesday morning lounge

Good morning crew from 67 and raining N.E. Indiana. Up and out early this morning heading to breakfast about 40 miles South of here.

So I got the lounge going with a bacon, cheese, and egg casserole in the oven. It'll be ready when you are. The coffee urn is on the timer and it'll be ready when the first crew member shows up. Cold pizza in the fridge, bananas on the counter. Swat the Drosophila away.

I put the first coat of paint on the passenger cars and was pretty disappointed with the finish. After they thoroughly dry, I'll be reworking the finish. The silver paint shows every little surface imperfection. :erm:

    I better get going here.

    Have a Super day!

Good morning Jim, Mark and the rest of the RR-L Crew. Nice and sunny outside and 60 degrees. Oat Meal and tea as I now need to loose some weight.

Well, were "Back home again in Indiana." [}] Fun weekend in Michigan. Stayed with Chris our youngest son in Grand Rapids for a couple of days then down in Otsego, near Kalamazoo, Sunday afternoon and overnight with friends that we've known for 40+ years.

Not much else happening here and won't be for the next few weeks.

Everyone have a Fun and Safe day in the Train Yard.

Good morning Jim and the rest of the crew. It is currently 58 degrees and sunny here in northern NJ. Rail will show up around noon.

I'm about ready to head out for some mowing. Right after lunch I will head over to Chuck's to meet up with a few other Division members to evaluate his layout for the Civil Engineering Certificate. Since we already evaluated his three scratch built track elements, this should be quick.

On the way home we will stop to vote in today's primary election. After that, we will see what I can accomplish.

        Have a great day!

Good morning, Jim and crew. We're having another beautiful day in Tidewater Virginia. Pat has some nieces spending the week at Virginia Beach, so we're going over there this afternoon. No workbench time today.

          Have a good day.

Rain overnight has freshened things up. It was windy and sunny all day yesterday and we accomplished quite a bit outside. Thinned out some weeds and trimmed a few trees. There is always more that needs attention but my attention span is limited to that stuff. It was chilly with the high wind we had. Today’s forecast stays cool.

Today I may do some electrical work on the new staging track section on the layout. Always plenty to do there, too, with an equally wandering attention span.

            Everyone have a good day.

Good morning, everyone. It is a gorgeous one, too. Wow. Blue sky and cool, so far.

As Bruce said, a few NMRA division guys and he will be over in the early afternoon to check out what I have done for the NMRA Achievement Program's Civil Engineer certificate.

There are a few smaller projects to build for my mine scene, so I am looking to start on those soon.

Good morning Crew. I’ll have a diet Dr Pepper and then decide what to eat. Just woke up around 20 minutes ago, no idea why the last few weeks I’m sleeping so long. So. Wisconsin is again severely clear but only a high of 73. I will be headed outside to cut the grass. I just cut it last Thursday but you’d never know it.

My sister, daughter, granddaughter and wife are headed to Austin for the night and then for a week in Melbourne to see the niece who is teaching there for June and July. I believe they are nuts but as long as they have fun, it’s fine. I have stripped out the track in the papermill yard, just 3 tracks around 16’. My wife said if I am unhappy with the arrangement to take out all the track and start over. If I take everything out ...

Not sure but enjoy your day!

Good evening, all. Seacoast NH was maybe 60F with rain off and on all day; I put on my winter sweater rather than light a woodstove in June. Chuck, from the work you've shown, I think Bruce and your other evaluators will go home happy. Tom, I hope your niece is in Melbourne, FL? Otherwise, I really don't get a trans-Pacific flight for a one-week stay...

I got myself registered for the 'Erie Limited' NER convention being put on by Bruce & his Garden State Division comrades. And I got closer to submitting my Structures AP paperwork.

James I said they were nuts, they will spend a full 7 days in Australia plus the travel time. They left Austin a few m8nutes ago heading to Phoenix to pick up an additional passenger, my brother’s girlfriend. Then to LA then Honolulu. It’s 10 hours to Melbourne which they will tackle tomorrow.

Tom, I suppose it's easier with a private plane and stopovers. My trips to Thailand tend to be just under a day elapsed, with 2-3 hours hanging out at an intermediate airport. I wouldn't do that for less than two weeks on the other side of the world.

Thanks, James. Are you close to getting MMR? See you in Mahwah!
